November 2024

Dear CCPC,

November was a wonderful month at CCPC filled with meaningful activities and moments that filled our month with joy and gratitude.

Many of our classes took advantage of the crisp autumn weather to explore the beauty of nature on walks around our school grounds and neighborhood. These moments sparked curiosity and connection with the changing season.

Throughout the month, the children reflected on what it means to be thankful. Their thoughtful expressions reminded us all of the simple joys and meaningful relationships that enrich our lives.

A special highlight was the Chameleons' class publishing their very own Thankful Book! Families and friends joined us to celebrate the children’s creativity and reflections on gratitude.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed to our winter coat drive! Together, we collected over 30 new and gently used coats for children in the Foster Care system. Your generosity will keep many little ones warm this winter.

We believe in the importance of outdoor play, even as the temperatures drop! Please remember to dress your child in warm layers or pack extra clothing to keep them comfortable for outdoor activities during the colder months.

As we look ahead to December, we are excited for more learning, fun, and opportunities to share in the season of giving. Thank you for being part of our vibrant school community!

Nicole

CCPC Church Christmas Events

The Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church

and Assistant Director of Music

Luke Stowell

invite

the Woodlands and Creekside children

to participate in

The 2024 Christmas Pageant

Rehearsal Saturday, December 14

10:00am - 12:00pm

Performance Sunday, December 15

at the 10:00am Worship Service

in the CCPC Sanctuary

https://www.chevychasepc.org/

4 year-olds and Pre-K children are invited to be manger animals (stuffed animals happily included!) and do not need to come to the dress rehearsal. Manger animals should arrive on the day of the pageant at 9:15 am at Chadsey Hall, the fellowship space directly below the church sanctuary, to select a costume. Once dressed, animals sit with their family in a pew and come forward when called to the front during the 10 am service. If your child would like to join the Angel Choir to sing "Away in the Manger" and "Angels We Have Heard on High", please plan to come to the dress rehearsal if you can.

Please contact Assistant Music Director Luke Stowell ASAP to let him know your interest and availability
