October 2024

Dear CCPC,

Autumn is my favorite season—I love watching the leaves change and feeling the temperatures cool. October was spooktacular at CCPC as we celebrated Halloween with a festive trick-or-treating parade. Seeing all the photos of the costumes was such a treat!

The Pumpkin Patch Field Trips are always a highlight! I joined Creekside for a day of excitement at Butler’s Orchard, where I connected with parents and kids. The farm has added many engaging features, and the kernel pit was a huge hit! The field trip was the perfect way to kick off the fall season.

This month, we also started our Gross Motor classes. We welcomed Coach T from Just for Kids, and the children loved the interactive motor-development activities! We kicked off Yoga with Ms. Alissa, and the kiddos were able to find their Zen!

Our tours for the 2025–26 school year are already underway and will continue through January. We deeply appreciate referrals from our wonderful families, so please keep sharing your positive experiences with friends and neighbors!

  3. What do you like most about the school your child is currently enrolled in?
  4. What was the application process like for the child? (IE: interviews, etc.)

Trying to get rid of all that Halloween candy? Before you pack it for Extended Day lunch, please make sure nothing comes to school that has nuts or was processed in a plant with nuts. Winter Coat Drive

November 12 - 22

What better way to help spread warmth and wrap our arms around those in need than to partner with Comfort Cases for a Coat(es) drive?

Donate a new or gently used child's coat in our lobby.

National Adoption Awareness Month begins on November 1, the same day that Comfort Cases and CNN's Laura Coates launch a "Coats for a Cause" new coat drive for those in need in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

"Coats for a Cause" will run from

November 12 through November 23, National Adoption Day – a day where courts across the country open fully for adoption proceedings, the most active day of the year for adoptions.
