Greetings!

The CCPC teachers had a wonderful excursion to tour our amazing city and its majestic monuments--oh what fun! It was wonderful to have time together to relax outside of our busy school days.

As I often do, I ran into a neighbor whose children went to CCPC many years ago. She said, "I was just thinking about CCPC as I hung our well worn, but cherished, egg carton bell ornaments made when the children were 4. Back then, the teacher said to me, 'you will hang these up years from now and it will make you remember your kids when they were little and you will smile'". These precious gifts mark a time in your family's life and are true reminders of the joy of the season and its abundant blessings. I hope you are able to hang onto the special gifts your child creates for you and enjoy them for many years. I know we still hang our CCPC ornaments on the tree at my house!

Enjoy a peaceful holiday and we look forward to a healthy and safe New Year. Whether or not you traveled, thanks for testing prior to our Monday, January 3rd return to school,

Travel Notification

Thanks to all who submitted their plans. If you are traveling out of town and haven't completed the form, please submit your Winter Break travel plans as soon as possible.This quick Travel Notification Form can also be found on our website. We track all travel plans so that teachers can know when to expect each child’s safe return to class.

Mandatory Community Wide Testing

Prior to January 3 Return to School

If you are traveling out of the DMV region:

Please submit your information (see above instructions) and remember to administer your test no earlier than a full 72 hours after you return home. Results should be emailed to Noni Lindahl at wnsdirector@chevychasepc.org.

If you are staying home: We ask all parents to administer a PCR or rapid/antigen test to their child regardless of travel status prior to their return to CCPC. Please email the negative result with your child's name and class (e.g. Johnny Smith, BEARS) to covidtestsCCPC@chevychasepc.org

If your test result is positive, please immediately contact Noni Lindahl at wnsdirector@chevychasepc.org

Gabriele Nicolet, MA, CCC-SLP

Executive Director and Owner of Speechkids

Gabriele has over 20 years of experience working with families and children with speech and language difficulties and special needs. Gabriele received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Gabriele is the former Chair of the District of Columbia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. She is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and is a member of the American Hearing and Speech Association (ASHA). Gabriele lives in Washington, DC with her family.
