SPRING AWAKENING

Movie theater, concert, dining inside… Hey, are the comedy clubs open yet?
Have I really survived this?
And what’s really important to me now, anyway?
Currently we’re all Q’s and no A’s.

ICYMI - CCRA's Annual Meeting |
CCRA held its Annual Meeting virtually on Thursday, May 27. At the meeting, new board members were elected, and changes to our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation were adopted.
Following CCRA business, PA's Attorney General Josh Shapiro spoke about what was going on in the city and answered questions from our members and guests. You can watch the event on our YouTube channel.

CCRA Board Meeting, Tuesday, June 8, 6pm
For the first time in 14 months, CCRA will hold its board meeting in-person at BEX, 2005 Market St. Members are welcome to join our last meeting before the summer break.
If you would like to attend the meeting, notify Operations Manager Travis Oliver. Please note, if you have not been vaccinated, you must wear a mask during the meeting.

Register here to attend the 6pm June 9 follow-up multi-community Town Hall sponsored by the Queen Village Neighbors Association (QVNA) that will address the safety and quality-of-life threats posed by the presence of loud and unsafe ATV’s and dirt bikes throughout the City.

Local Organizations Distributes Yellow Whistles to Combat Asian-American Hate |
The Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corp. has been giving out whistles, along with the Korean American Association of Greater Philadelphia, SEAMAAC, Penn Asian Senior Services, the Pottstown NAACP, and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Barnes Meets Flower Show? We’re There |
This year’s Philadelphia Flower Show will be held outdoors, but you can celebrate the “Masterpieces of Nature” indoors (and online) at the Barnes. “Barnes in Bloom” runs throughout the bounteous month of June and features self-guided and group tours, plus tour events that include lunch, dessert, and, yes, cocktails. Poppin': Women, People of Color Star at Hyatt Centric |
Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia will host a series of Pop-Ups starting on Friday, June 4. Each weekend local artisans and businesses owned by people of color and women have been invited to create pop-up shops and displays in the hotel lobby.
"We are striving to support local artists and small business owners while also offering guests a distinct experience with Philadelphia flavor," said Gilbert Santana, general manager of the Hyatt Centric Center City Philadelphia.
