Carrollton Upper Elementary School music teacher Rebecca Hughes received a grant to help purchase “boomwackers” for her class. Boomwhackers are instruments to use in teaching music literacy and to reinforce rhythm reading and performing. 


CCS Education Foundation awards 68 grants through Instructional Excellence Grant Program

The Carrollton City Schools Education Foundation awarded 68 grants to teachers through the Instructional Excellence Grant program this year, with awards totaling $24,000.

On Oct. 10, the Georgia Department of Education officially announced the statewide graduation rate for 2023. Carrollton High School’s Class of 2023 left a strong legacy with a posting of 91 percent.

Seventh and eighth grade students in Mrs. Morris’ performing arts class at Carrollton Middle School took advantage of the beautiful fall weather earlier this week while rehearsing for their upcoming play “Gravestone Manor."
