Ben D. Quinn Elementary Hosts Flag Day Ceremony on Patriot Day
Ben D. Quinn Elementary School honored Patriot Day with a special Flag Day Ceremony on Thursday, September 11, at 1:30 p.m., bringing together students, staff, and community members to remember the events of 9/11 and pay tribute to service members.
All students in grades K–5, along with staff, participated in the ceremony, which focused on:
- Understanding the importance of history
- Honoring service members and first responders
- Celebrating patriotism and unity
- Encouraging community support and involvement
The program included participation from the New Bern High School NJROTC, which helped contribute to this meaningful observance.
Attendees showed their unity and patriotism by wearing red, white, and blue during the event.
“Events like these give our students a chance to connect with history in a meaningful way, while also showing the value of community, respect, and pride in our country,” said Mr. Robert Hall, principal of Ben D. Quinn Elementary.
This special observance allowed the school community to honor the past while celebrating the spirit of unity that continues to define our nation.
