CCS Prevention Team Launches San Diego YOUth REALationships Podcast

A podcast about relationships created by youth for youth

This week the CCS Prevention Education and Advocacy team is launching a new podcast: San Diego YOUth REALationships. Grant funded by the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation, the podcast is community-centered and led by a volunteer youth team in the Mid-City region of San Diego.

CCS has partnered with youth groups and organizations across San Diego County to amplify diverse voices. Youth participants will unpack intergenerational lessons on relationships, discuss social norms, and make connections between their lives and classroom literature. The podcast will promote community connectedness, individual empowerment, the dissemination of knowledge around sexual violence prevention and healthy family relationships – all protective factors against sexual assault. By empowering this community and educating its youth, we can prevent harm and foster a culture of non-violence.

Podcast episodes will be released every other Thursday beginning today, Thursday, Aug. 31. Episodes can be found on our website ccssd.org or through PodBean, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, and iTunes.
