Tails of the Painted Cats 2019
Lakewood Arts Council Gallery Showing
Friday, May 3rd

Hanna Lulu by Pat Lickly

The 2019 Tails of the Painted Cats Summer Tour begins May 3rd and will run through the summer.  We will have three gallery showings which will then culminate with the Festival of Felines in August at the shelter.

Starting this Friday, May 3rd, we will kick off the Summer Tour at the Lakewood Art Gallery located at 6731 West Colfax Avenue (West of the Casa Bonita fountain and next to West Fax Brew Pub).  This reception will also coincide with the First Friday Art Walk so there will be a lot going on to enjoy.

Please join us for the gallery reception that night from 5-9pm to view the cats and meet some of the artists.   Wine and light hors d'oeuvres  will be served.

Catty Hour
Friday, May 17th
Catty Hour with the cats at CCS is always fun, and it's great way to relax on a Friday night.  Our next Catty Hour is scheduled for Friday, May 17, from 6 to 8PM at the shelter.  This is an adults only event, and wine and snacks will be served.  There is no cost, but donations are very much appreciated.  Please contact Suellen Scott to reserve your spot at 303-239-9680 x 19, or email sscott@catcaresociety.org.

Opt to Adopt Elsie
Elsie is a 13 year old sweetheart. She's a little shy but has made strides in her confidence since she came in. Sadly, her owner passed away and she was left in the home by herself for two months. She is perfectly healthy, but because of her age, is part of the
Perpet-U-Care program.  Elsie does have a small heart murmur which is not concerning at this time.   Please come meet this little lady...she has a lot of love to give.  She prefers a very  calm environment, perhaps with an quiet, retired person with lots of time for her.

You can read more about Elsie here:

Donating to Cat Care Society through King Soopers is so much easier than it used to be.  Now, if you have a loyalty card at the store, you just need to designate Cat Care Society as your chosen charity.  Then, every time you make a purchase it goes toward increasing the pool of money that we will receive quarterly from King Soopers.  There is no need to buy a gift card and reload it.  For more information and instructions on how to set up your loyalty card account to benefit CCS, please click here.  Thank you for your support.  This is a great revenue source for us averaging about $1000 per month.
