🎓🚀Craven County Schools Hosts the 2026 CTE Expo 🎓🚀

Craven County Schools proudly hosted the 2026 Career and Technical Education (CTE) Expo today at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.

The interactive, hands-on event welcomed over 900 eighth-grade students from across the district, giving them the opportunity to explore real-world career pathways and post-secondary options available right here in Craven County.

Students engaged in live demonstrations and interactive exhibits alongside:✔️ Local business and industry partners✔️ High school CTE teachers and students✔️ Craven Community College instructors and students

This successful event was made possible through collaboration with Craven County Economic Development, Craven Community College, and many outstanding community partners who helped students connect their interests to future opportunities.

The CTE Expo reflects our continued commitment to preparing students for college, careers, and life by strengthening partnerships between education and the local workforce.Thank you to everyone who helped make today an inspiring experience for our students!

The YMCA Was Filled with Joy with our High School Students

So much joy, pride, and celebration filled the YMCA on Tuesday, February 10th, as Special Olympics took place for our high school students from Havelock High School, New Bern High School, and West Craven High School.

Our students proudly showcased their skills, supported one another, and had an amazing time competing and celebrating alongside their classmates. The smiles, laughter, and determination on display were truly inspiring.
