O'Neal named CCS Teacher of the Year

Although Robin O’Neal initially set her sights on becoming an accountant, her path shifted when she discovered her true passion—teaching math and inspiring students along the way.


O’Neal received the top honor as the Carrollton City Schools district Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025. The Carrollton Middle School teacher was recognized along with three other teachers—Rachel Phillips, Freddy Bennett, and Tim Hawig, Teachers of the Year at Carrollton Elementary, Carrollton Upper Elementary and Carrollton High School, respectively, at the Oct. 8 Carrollton Board of Education monthly meeting.

The 2024 Homecoming Parade took place yesterday afternoon. The parade is a longtime tradition and special event in Trojan Nation.

Celebrating CCS Milestone Masters

At the October Carrollton City Schools Board of Education meeting, the board and district recognized the 2023-2024 Milestone Masters, a group of students who earned perfect scores on one or more sections of the Georgia Milestones Assessment, Georgia’s standardized test which measures how well students understand what they learned in key subject areas.


These students’ achievements reflect their hard work and dedication to mastering subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Art

Celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week!

It's Georgia Pre-K Week! The mission of Georgia Pre-K Week is to increase support for quality early education in Georgia by providing state and local leaders with a first-hand experience of quality early learning. CHS students take on WGTC Manufacturing Day

This week, more than 100 Carrollton High School students were future-focused at West Georgia Technical College Manufacturing Day. They connected with local employers, explored career paths, and discovered internships and co-op opportunities. Plus, they got a firsthand look at industry labs, seeing real-world skills in action. A big step towards their future in the workforce!
