Carrollton City Schools interventionist Nancy Smith was recognized by the Georgia Association of Colleges for Teacher Education on Nov. 18 as a recipient of the Mentor Teacher Award. CCS interventionist receives GACTE Mentor Teacher Award

Carrollton City Schools interventionist Nancy Smith was chosen as a recipient of the Mentor Teacher Award for her work with the University of West Georgia. She is one of nine teachers from around the state who was recognized by the Georgia Association of Colleges for Teacher Education for their work in coaching future teachers.

For the seventh consecutive time, the Georgia School Boards Association has recognized the Carrollton Board of Education as an Exemplary Board of Achievement.

Record number of CHS students to compete for Governor's Honors

Following an extensive application and interview process, 15 Carrollton High School students have been nominated to compete at the state level for Governor’s Honors, setting a record for the most students selected to compete in the next round.

Holiday Family Engagement Night at CES

Carrollton Elementary School hosted a Holiday Family Engagement Night Tuesday. Students and parents participated in a variety of fun and engaging activities.

Carroll EMC Bright Ideas Grant helps CJHS students build robots

Carrollton Junior High School STEM students are working on building VEX V5 robots. Thanks to the Carroll EMC Bright Ideas Grant this group was able to build a Clawbot. They made their own design and programmed the robot to drive around and pick up objects.

CHS senior Hailey Jackson earns first place, Best in Show in art competition

A Carrollton High School senior continues to be recognized for her artistic talents, with her latest awards including a first place honor and Best in Show, presented at the Hughston Foundation Art Gala Nov. 10.

CUES students learn to fly before they learn to drive!

Carrollton Upper Elementary School students are learning to fly before they learn to drive in Mr. Charles Young's STEM class. Students using Microsoft's Flight Simulator to learn how to read the instrument panel of a Cessna 172 and are learning the differences between pitch (moving up and down) and yaw (moving right and left) when flying in an aircraft.
