Here are some last-minute reminders:

Calendar: The full 2022-23 school year calendar is available here: https://bit.ly/3IF6T4T

Supplies: You can find school supply lists here: www.ccsd89.org/supplies

Lunch information: Elementary and middle school students will pay for lunches with their school ID, which is linked to a MySchoolBucks account. The cost for an elementary lunch will be $3.25, including a milk. The cost for a Glen Crest lunch will be $3.50, including a milk. As a reminder: this year, schools will only be serving free meals to students who qualify under the free-and-reduced lunch program. More info and instructions for setting up an account: www.ccsd89.org/lunch

Lunch menus: Lunch menus for all schools are available at www.ccsd89.org/lunch Use the 'School lunch menus' button on the left side of the page, put in your school’s name (Arbor View, Briar Glen, Glen Crest, Park View, or Westfield), and then press the magnifying glass button. Select the school from the drop-down menu. Select lunch and then "View menus". Families can also download the FDMealPlanner app. More info: www.ccsd89.org/lunch

Bus routes: Families can now log on to PowerSchool to view bus routes. Please be patient with bus times during the first few weeks of school. There may be delays as families and drivers establish a routine that keeps riders safe. Students are encouraged to be at the bus stop early, especially in the first few weeks of school. If there is a significant bus problem, the school will contact families.

COVID-19: Families should keep students home if they have tested positive for COVID-19. This chart can be a starting point when determining whether your student needs to stay home: https://bit.ly/3Pvf8C6 When you use an at-home COVID-19 test, please take a photo of the test strip that shows the results so you can share it with the school nurse.
