In light of the COVID 19 pandemic, clinical supervision becomes crucial in supporting and gently guiding your staff towards flexibility and resilience. When properly implemented it improves client care, develops clinical skills, and improves the knowledge and professionalism of clinical personnel. It is paramount in imparting and maintaining ethical standards in the addictions profession.

NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) requires 30 hours of Clinical Supervision training for the Advanced Counselor and Master Counselor status in the OASAS Substance Use Disorder Scopes of Practice. It recognizes the crucial role of Clinical Supervision in the quality assurance of program services. The Addiction Technology Transfer Center has developed a 30-hour training that combines a 14-hour online course (Part 1) and a 16-hour virtual classroom training (Part 2), which meets the 30- hour Clinical Supervision training requirement.
