NJ Chapter of Women-Focused Investment Group Announces First Info Session and Mentoring Opportunities for Female Entrepreneurs
First Lady Tammy Murphy and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) today announced office hours for the first half of 2020 for the recently-formed New Jersey Chapter of Golden Seeds, a national angel investor network dedicated to investing in women-led companies. Announced in July, this collaboration between First Lady Murphy's Office, the NJEDA, and Golden Seeds will advance Governor Phil Murphy's efforts to make New Jersey the "State of Innovation" by providing new funding sources and mentorship opportunities for female entrepreneurs.
Junior Achievement Inspire to host Career Expo
Junior Achievement will be hosting a career fair, JA Inspire, for 8th and 9th grade students on Wednesday, May 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rowan College at Burlington County's Student Success Center in Mount Laurel. The purpose of the career fair is to connect these students with businesses, industries and organizations in the private and public sectors that can open their eyes and their minds to the job possibilities available to them.
Investors Bank Kicks-Off New Year with Competition for Small Businesses
Investors Bank
is kicking-off 2020 by inviting small businesses in New York and New Jersey to compete for a prize package valued at more than $100,000. The easy-to-enter Investors Bank Movers & Shakers Small Business Competition is open to businesses with between $2 million and $20 million in revenue and less than 100 employees, headquartered or conducting the majority of business in Metro New York and New Jersey. Ten finalists will be selected from among the two categories: general business and minority- or women-owned business. There will be two grand prize winners named from among the finalists. Parker McCay Announces Student Loan Repayment Benefit
New Jersey law firm Parker McCay announced today that it is offering its attorneys an innovative new benefit program to help repay student loans. In addition to its industry-leading benefits package for attorneys, on January 1, 2020 Parker McCay launched its student loan repayment program. The new benefit offers attorneys an annual contribution of $1200 directly to the loan servicer to assist with student debt repayment. This payment will continue through employment until the end of the loan.
