HIGHLIGHTS OF GOVERNOR CHRISTIE'S ADDRESS TO CCSNJ MEMBERS  



On April 27, Governor Chris Christie addressed 250 members of the CCSNJ at a luncheon meeting at the Crowne Plaza.  Among the many topics the Governor covered in his speech were the  $15 minimum wage  proposal, the mandatory pension payment Constitutional Amendment, and  Atlantic City's fiscal insolvency  - a topic CCSNJ President & CEO Debra DiLorenzo also weighed in on that day as a  featured Guest Columnist in the   Star Ledger.

On April 19, business and civic leaders discussed their roles in providing a better economic future for Atlantic City at CCSNJ's Future of Atlantic City event. Held at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel, the event attracted more than 100 Chamber members, each with a stake in the future of Atlantic City and South Jersey's economy.


On April 29, CCSNJ held the second installment of its Make New Jersey Competitive series, this time focusing on the Future of Health Care. Several key players in New Jersey's health care industry came together to discuss growing trends in the field and to provide a forecast for the impact of these trends in the future.

Public-Private Partnerships (commonly known as "P3s") are very popular across the country, including the recently announced   renovations at LaGuardia Airport  as one example. P3s are  also gaining significant attention   here in New Jersey. Although P3s have thus far been focused on educational settings in New Jersey, there is potential for this funding method to be used for a wide variety of projects ranging from infrastructure to transportation.  Full coverage
