Dear CCSNJ Members:
As many of you know, Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 to October 15, during which the community honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans. To that end, the CCSNJ plans to spotlight Hispanic and Latino business leaders within our membership throughout the month-long celebration with our "Celebrate & Honor: Hispanic Heritage Month" social media campaign.
If you are a Hispanic/Latino American and CCSNJ member that is interested in being highlighted, please click here to fill out a short survey.
We look forward to celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing these stories with the entire CCSNJ membership to support and recognize the Hispanic and Latino business community in South Jersey.

The following is a statement from Christina M. Renna, president & CEO, Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey:
“The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lt. Governor Shelia Oliver. The Lt. Governor was a trailblazer, who embodied everything it means to be a public servant. The CCSNJ had the privilege of recently working with Lt. Governor Oliver on the Atlantic City Restart and Recovery Working Group, which she led, to help Atlantic City recover following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her commitment to helping the Atlantic City community re-emerge from the pandemic is a tremendous piece of the incredible legacy she leaves behind."

On August 15, the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) gave remarks at the bill signing for S-3989/A-5675 (Sarlo/Testa/Greenwald/Moen), which established a $100 million "Boardwalk Preservation Fund." This initiative, which was included as part of the final FY2024 state budget, was announced by Governor Phil Murphy in March of this year and won nearly unanimous legislative approval during the budget deliberation process this past June.
Christina Renna, president & CEO of the CCSNJ was invited to provide remarks at today’s bill signing. In her comments, she stated that boardwalks are critical economic drivers for the travel and tourism industry in the South Jersey region and across the state. She elaborated by outlining the many ways boardwalks have a vast overall economic impact – by attracting businesses, creating jobs, bringing new housing opportunities, and allowing for exciting recreational opportunities to name a few.
