According to Symantec's 2016 Internet Security Threat Report, more than 430 million new unique pieces of malware were discovered in 2015, an increase of 36% from 2014. The total number of cyber breaches has increased 25% since 2013
[1]
. Such breaches have targeted companies small and large alike.
Taking an Active Role: Begin by Posing 5 Key Questions
Boards of directors and audit committee chairpersons can play a pivotal role in helping a company understand cybersecurity risks, as well as driving the change needed to help effectively protect the organization. This can be accomplished through an open discussion with management and asking the following questions.

Network functions are a great place to meet new people and make business contacts. Networking events are where the conversations begin, since time is limited the next step is the most important - the follow up.
First, ask for the best way to stay in touch. Most people will recommend email, but some of us like the old fashion way, the phone. Once you know the best way to follow up, be sure to reach out within 48 hours.
Since you have time to do research, make sure you take a look at the new contact's website. Learn as much about them as you can, since the best impressions come from knowledge. You can discuss the new contact's company while stating some facts about your company and how you can work together.
Finally, always reference the original meeting place. This helps put your face back into their head.

The Philadelphia 76ers had an official ribbon cutting for their brand new state-of-the-art training complex on Camden's Waterfront on a bright, sunny Friday morning.
The 125,000-square-foot complex includes a beautiful 66,230-square-foot basketball facility as well as business operations offices; the latter are not yet complete, but should be in the coming months.
The basketball training facility, which is complete, has all the bells and whistles from the two regulation-sized NBA courts, training room, to the hydrotherapy pools, Gatorade Fuel Bar, players lounge, restaurant and more.
