The CCSNJ was proud to partner with the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) for its Network Connection Series Happy Hour at Filomena Lakeview on Aug. 18. GCCC and CCSNJ members were treated to an evening of networking, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at the Deptford restaurant.

On Aug. 30, several industry experts discussed key taxation policies in the State and how these taxes can be made more manageable. The event aimed to help members and legislative leaders realize the steps that must be taken to achieve true "tax fairness" in New Jersey. Full coverage

CCSNJ's Environment Committee met on Sept. 7 to hear from  Paula Dixon-Roderick, who discussed current national and regional Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enforcement initiatives and compliance directives, as well as the different compliance assistance programs offered by OSHA both regionally and federally.

Whether you're new to the Chamber or re-engaging after some time away, there are various ways to make new connections.

1. Joining a committee that best suits your interest, industry, or skill set is one of the best ways to get involved and get connected.

2. If a committee is not an option at this time, a quick and easy way to meet other members is to utilize Chamber staff or the Ambassador committee. The Chamber Ambassadors serve as an extension of the staff to assist new and old members in making the most of their membership.

3. If you haven't been assigned an Ambassador, the membership team will be happy to do so and will match you with a committee member who can help you meet your goals.

4. Of course, attending events consistently is also helpful. Networking is an opportunity to "brand" yourself, and what better way to keep your brand top of mind than to be seen regularly?!
