Cornell researchers Cristobal Young, Benjamin Cornwell, and Barum Park, with Nan Feng (NYU), used evidence from 15 major U.S. datasets for this article recently published in Sociological Science. The team utilized computing resources and consulting support from CCSS throughout the project.

Cornell researchers can now access the 2025 edition of the CNTS Data Archive through CCSS. This edition adds over 51,000 new data points, with coverage extended through the past year. It also includes 14 years of optional LINKS files (2011–present), offering media source references for domestic conflict events such as assassinations, strikes, riots, and more.

To obtain these files, you must have a Cornell NetID and be using a Cornell computer or have a Cornell IP address.

The U.S. Census Bureau has acquired administrative records containing graduates’ degree level, degree major, and post-secondary institution from universities and university systems. When used in the Cornell FSRDC, the PSEO data can be linked to confidential Census data, including earnings data from administrative records, at the individual level.
