Operation Christmas Child

There Are Two Opportunities To Help:

Processing Center Volunteer Event

(This is a separate event from collecting Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child.)

Thursday, November 30th, 2023,

9 am-1 pm

(Carpools will leave at 7 am)

Samaritan's Purse Ministry Center

4200 Bonita Pl, Fullerton, CA 92835,

If you have never been able to be blessed in serving as a volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center, now is your chance. They need many volunteers to process all the shoe boxes that will go out to many children who have never received a gift or heard about God and His love for them. This is life changing for so many and you can be a part of this. Every volunteer in the processing center plays an important role in ensuring the integrity and successful delivery of the shoebox gifts.

Information and a sign-up sheet will be located at the Connect Center or you can register online.

Pack a Shoe Box

or Two

Donations accepted by Sunday, November 12th.

Operation Christmas Child delivers great joy and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children in need around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes. Each box packed full of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items becomes a tangible expression of God's immense love for the child. For many, it is their first gift ever! Delivered by our local church partners, shoebox gifts provide an opportunity to present the Gospel to boys and girls in a clear, child-friendly way.

How to pack a shoe box

  1. Get a shoe box. We have cardboard shoe boxes available for your use or you can purchase the plastic shoe boxes so they can be reused.
  2. Get a Label. We have labels available, or you can get them online from Operation Christmas Child. Use the label to indicate on your shoebox whether it was packed for a boy or girl and which age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
  3. Pack your shoe box. Select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Don’t forget to also include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive.
  4. Pray. For the child who receives your shoe box but also for their family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ. For the pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift. and their community to be transformed by the Gospel.
  5. A donation of $10 per box is critical to cover shipping and other project costs. For easiest processing, you can give online through our Label Options or Ways to Give pages, or by mailing a check in the postage-paid envelope available in our print brochure. If you use an online option on the Labels page, you can Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your gift.
  6. Bring your shoebox to church. The last day to accept donations is Sunday, November 12th.

THE GOOD NEWS CLUB

Jesus tells us to be Light (reflect the Lord) and to be Salt (preserving Righteousness) in this fallen world. Unfortunately, there is currently a public elementary after school program that teaches children that Satan is a friendly character, hell is not real, and to encourage kids to have fun and be themselves. We have an opportunity to counter this wickedness by serving in The GOOD NEWS Club. It's an after school Club that teaches elementary school aged children about Jesus. Volunteer once a week for 90 minutes of teaching the Gospel and memory verses. Please see Oscar, Roz, or Jess for additional information on how to get involved.

  • For us to be open to the opportunities God places before us and be a bold witness for the Lord.
  • For marriages: for hearts to be united; for couples to communicate well; love and respect one another; and consider each other more important than themselves.
  • For Pastor Joe as he juggles his work with CCT and Veritas. Pray for wisdom and guidance.
