Update on Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Monoclonal Antibody Treatment

Earlier this week, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)released updated recommendations for medical providers for the use of anti-SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibodies.This guidance outlines recommendations for the use of these products for treatment and post-exposure prophylaxis. In light of current national shortages, the advisory also details the current plans for product distribution by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service to state and local jurisdictions.

How to Order Monoclonal Antibody During Current Shortages:
Orange County providers who wish to request anti-SARS-COV-2 monoclonal antibody product are advised to submit a Resource Request form on a weekly basis at:https://www.ochealthinfo.com/ems/aoc
Given the current shortages, providers should not expect fulfillment of their entire request. Some providers may not receive any allocation as this will depend on the amount allocated to our county.
