It is time for all dentists and dental hygienists to renew their Colorado Professional Licenses. If you do not renew prior to your expiration date, you may be assessed a late fee.

License renewal notices were sent by DORA at the end of January, however, several comcast.net email accounts blocked these notices, categorizing them as spam. Please be sure to renew your Colorado dental license as soon as possible.

Please Note: The CDA is not responsible for dental licenses and is not directly involved in license renewal; however, we make every effort to inform members about this process, as licensure is a critical piece of your dental practice. 

Colorado dentists must complete at least 30 hours of CE per licensure cycle to renew, reactivate or reinstate their licenses. This rule is for any dentist who holds an active dental license, including academic dentists. Retired and inactive licensees are exempt from this requirement. You will be required to attest to completion of CE during each license renewal. Read more

The ADA restarted its Third Party Payer Concierge service in January 2022 after a year-long hiatus. The service, which assists dentists with insurance questions and concerns with third party payers, is for member dentists only and can be accessed at 800-621-8099 or dentalbenefits@ada.org. The CDA Finance Council prepares an operating budget each year for the association. The Board of Trustees will vote to approve this budget at its April 23 meeting. An open forum via video conference will be available to all interested members to discuss the budget on April 19.
