CDBC 2020 Jurisprudence Examination Requirement

You are receiving this letter to inform you that are required to re-write the 2020 Jurisprudence Examination for Dietitians (JED) in BC. The Jurisprudence Guide and Examination for Dietitians in BC is a quality assurance initiative that ensures all registrants are familiar with the legal, ethical, and professional aspects of dietetic practice in British Columbia.

Full registrants are required to re-write the JED every five years, as per CDBC Bylaws’ subsection 47(7).

Please complete the JED requirement by March 31, 2020. Your access to the 2020-2021 registration renewal will not be available until your JED is complete.

To review the Jurisprudence Guide and complete the examination, please sign into your CDBC account . Scroll down to “Online Services” and select “Complete Jurisprudence Examination”. If you have difficulty accessing the JED, please contact the CDBC office .

The online JED:
_
  • is free and is not time limited
  • consists of 50 multiple choice questions
  • requires a 100% pass mark, with unlimited attempts to pass
  • allows you to answer questions in any order you prefer and check your answers after answering each question or at the end of each chapter
  • is cross-referenced to the Jurisprudence Guide to facilitate review of each question topic, and
  • allows you to “bookmark” and save your progress at any point in the exam, sign out and resume later.
