The preparation for the 2025 CDOIQ Symposium is now in full swing! The symposium will be held from July 15–17, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge Massachusetts.


Started in 2006 and previously held at MIT, the Annual CDOIQ Symposium has evolved into the premier global event for data leaders. Our mission is to bring together senior data leaders to share insights, explore emerging trends, and exchange best practices.


Chief Data Officers (CDOs) from Fortune 500, S&P 500, Global 2000, and Public Sector are very cordially invited to speak on topics such as data strategy, Gen AI, the evolving role of data leadership, or any areas of their expertise.

We use the term CDO to refer to Chief Data Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, and Chief Data and AI Officer, highlighting the growing perception of data and AI working together in a rapidly evolving landscape.

How Verizon Uses Data, Analytics, And AI To Deliver Responsible AI That Drives Innovation

An innovator in telecommunications, Verizon is leveraging data and AI as one of the foundations for its innovation journey. To ensure its leadership position and sustain its ongoing innovation path, Verizon appointed Kalyani Sekar to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer (CDO) in December 2022. 

 

For Verizon, the key to developing and sustaining leadership in the use of data and analytics is the application of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Verizon has been on its AI journey for over a decade. Sekar explains, “We have come a long way from descriptive analytics to leveraging the combined power of GenAI. Today, Verizon is deploying a full spectrum of AI, including predictive/prescriptive AI with machine learning/deep learning algorithms and generative AI across functions within the company.”
