CASTA Newsletter Header

We here at CASTA hope you are having a productive and cozy fall season! We are excited to host the PASS Train the Trainer participants next week at the Seniors' Resource Center and want to thank Ralph Mason for teaching this years course. Check out our calendar to keep track of upcoming CASTA training opportunities and events.

Greetings from CDOT
Wow! What a great CASTA/CDOT Fall conference in Snowmass. It was great to see everyone. We hope you had an educational (and fun!) time. We went through a lot of information including a compliance session, an asset acquisition (procurement) and disposition session and the introduction of the new grant partner manual. The presentations are on the CASTA website and the grant partner manual can be found at the DTR website at

We've released the 2017 Consolidated Capital Call for Projects. Applications are due through COTRAMS by the end of November and we want to remind you that with the holidays, it's a good idea to get them in earlier than the deadline. That way, if there are any difficulties, we have time to adjust.

You should begin seeing the 2017 Admin & Operating scopes of work showing up in your inbox. We are ahead of last year although we still want to speed the process up (scopes in August next year!) and are working to streamline the process. Look for the scopes soon!

We have preliminary results back from our Grant Partner Survey and they aren't bad. Staff will be analyzing the results and should have a report back in the next few weeks. Thank you to the 39 agencies who did respond. We will take these results and use them to continue improving how we work with you. A more detailed report will be forthcoming.

Thanks to everyone who came up to the DTR staff during CASTA. Your comments and kudos were greatly appreciated. We will continue to work together to try to improve the systems that govern our programs. Have a safe week!
