2 019 ILEAS Annual Conference 

The 16th Annual Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System (ILEAS) conference will be held March 24-26, 2019, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, IL. Windows 7 Ends in 2020.  Prepare Now!

Many companies have limped along with Windows 7 during its extended support cycle for reasons ranging from downtime to financial concerns. But Microsoft is ending Windows 7 extended support in less than a year. What will these companies do to manage this change?
 
Still Running Windows 7?

Windows 7 hasn't been supported since 2015, and a surprising number of companies are still using it with security patches offered during the Windows 7 extended support stream of patches. But all things must come to an end, and Windows 7 goes dark in January 2020. Firms must face a choice: limp along until the devices don't boot with adequate security and accept the bug risk or slowly upgrade to newer versions of Windows.

Konica Minolta Ranked First in Brand Loyalty 

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. (Konica Minolta) has announced that it has again received first place in Brand Loyalty in the 2019 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index. This marks the 12th consecutive year that Konica Minolta has received this recognition.

Brand Keys publishes this annual syndicated study, which examines clients' relationships with 822 brands in 90 categories. According to the 2019 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index, Konica Minolta has been recognized for Brand Loyalty in the "MFP Office Copier" category.

Brand Keys' 24th-annual Customer Loyalty Engagement Index and research consultancy identifies brands that are best able to engage clients by meeting or exceeding their expectations, thereby creating client loyalty. The index recognizes the brands that receive the highest loyalty and engagement assessments, and surpass competitors for responding to the category values customers desire most.

12% of organizations are storing all of their employee files electronically and  most organizations still store some employee documents on paper.

1% of respondents reported that their software would allow them to easily find and organize documents for an audit.

83% stated that the HR team would manage the audit. 

9% said they have digital files and someone would have to pull documents from each electronic employee file.

44% indicated that they were only somewhat confident that they have a strong retention policy in place,  32% said that they were very confident and 
20% were not confident and noted that this would be a priority for next year.

CDS sponsored the 4th Annual Prairie Heart Foundation event at Erin's Pavilion in Springfield, IL.  ColorWorld of Printing provided imprinted blankets for their give away.  





On February 16, over 200 guests attended the annual event, which benefits the Prairie Heart Foundation by supporting heart and vascular research, new technology, patient access to care, as well as public and professional education programs.  Every dollar donated to the Foundation remains in our local communities.  It was an incredible evening of good food, dancing, and live music by The Shenanigans. This year, $175,000 was raised making it the best year yet for this event. "We are grateful to all of our sponsors and supporters for their continued dedication to Prairie's world-class cardiovascular care."
