Bob eventually was promoted to Service Manager and held that position until he asked to move into our sales department.  At first, Bob sold strictly IT hardware products over the phone mainly.  He then moved into our outside sales force selling copier/MFP products.  And today, Bob is a senior sales person selling MFP and IT projects.  Bob also is a production print specialist for CDS.  Bob has a lot of experience in not only our business, but certainly the industry.  Through this journey he has learned and become a very valuable person with extensive knowledge in most everything we sell and support here at CDS.  Please congratulate Robert Berry Allen on 30 years of service.

Educate Users - put them through security awareness training so they never click the link, fall for the scam, open the attachment, etc. that allowed any ransomware to run in the first place!

Regular Backups - any data that is worth protecting (which includes specific critical endpoints) should be backed up regularly and the restore function tested frequently to make sure you actually have that backup.

Scan your network to identify any open remote desktop protocol (RDP) ports and ideally disable RDP completely on all Windows machines if possible.
