WWC Engineering
Job Description: WWC Laramie has an immediate opening for a recent, or soon to graduate, civil engineer with a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (highly preferred) from an accredited university degree program. The candidate must successfully obtain engineering intern certification.
The entry level position will expose the employee to the broad category of traditional civil engineering (road, water, sewer, site development) and to water resources engineering with an emphasis on river stabilization and restoration projects.
The successful candidate will contribute by performing geometric design, hydraulic calculations, hydrologic evaluations, open channel flow computations using HEC-RAS, and closed conduit hydraulic analysis using WaterGems. The employee will work on reservoir design and permitting, environmental permitting, geotechnical engineering, quantity schedules, bid packages, public interaction, preparation of plans and technical specifications, surveying, construction engineering, and/or other associated civil engineering activities as assigned.
Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; valid driver’s license and insurable under WWC’s vehicle insurance; strong background in computer applications; working knowledge of AutoCAD; progressive, self-starting individual with good communication skills.
