We want to make you aware of a piece of legislation that was introduced this week and its impact on our school and other charter schools across Colorado. In order to stop this proposal (HB21-1295 - www.leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb21-1295) from moving forward, it is important that State Representatives hear from you, our families and our staff. We don’t ask you to do this often, so when we do, it’s because it’s important.

Reaching out will take less than two minutes, and our partner the Colorado League of Charter Schools has made it easy for you to speak up by putting together a sample letter and contact information that you can easily send from your phone or computer. Click here to join us in taking action now.
The Denver Indian Center services Native and Indigenous People in our state. There are many resources that families can take advantage of including:

Library and Learning Commons— The Library & Learning Commons is here to support ACC students. You have off-campus access to scholarly articles, streaming videos, and over 300,000 ebooks by using the access code ACC2021CE when prompted for your CE login.

Lockheed Martin Thermal Vaccum Chamber Virtual Tour
Lockheed Martin is inviting middle and high school students behind the scenes for a live, virtual tour inside our thermal vacuum chamber to see how the spacecraft is being put to the test here on Earth before it travels to deep space. The broadcast will take place Thursday, May 13 from 6-6:45 p.m. Mountain Time.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from scientists and engineers behind the mission and get an up-close look at the testing chamber and the Lucy spacecraft before it leaves on its epic journey. Live Q&A at the end of the session will also offer students the opportunity to ask their own questions to the Lucy Mission experts.
If you or someone you know has kids or students who would be interested in joining, register here. Please note that children under the age of 16 must have their parent or guardian register them for this event. If you are registering as a Lockheed Martin employee, please use your personal email to register. Please contact Space.CommunityRelations@lmco.com with any questions.
