Health Technician/Paraprofessional

Hello CECDCN! My name is Melissa Sadler and I have just joined your amazing team after returning from fall break. A few things about myself:

I began working in education over 15 years ago in California, where I was working at a private Catholic School as the lunch team/education assistant. My education started in California, as I attended night classes to obtain an Associates in Business and began to swiftly change over to education.

As I continued to grow in the education field, my certifications range from CSR, Mental Health Young Youth Teens, behavior, and CNA, to CPI, Early Childhood, and even Special Education. I have been with Douglas County schools for 10+ years.

Our family relocated from Southern California in 2008 to our lovely Colorado State. I have four children, two of which are attending CECDCN as a junior and a senior, and two teenage grandchildren.

I spent the past 10 years living in Parker and recently moved to Franktown. I absolutely love it! We enjoy lots of family fun, with dirt bike rides on our property, tailriding in the Rainbow Falls area, sport motorcycle riding, or watching track racing super sports. My boys love hunting as a family! We also workout in our home gym and enjoy movie nights or a campfire outside. I love to assist students and families of all ages and I am so excited to work with CECDCN staff and for the opportunity to see my kids be amazing!

Health Updates

Parents and Guardians,

As cold and flu season is right around the corner, our health clinic and school nurse would like to remind you of the policies around sending a student home or keeping them at home if they are sick. Please utilize this guide to see conditions that would require a student to be sent home or to be kept at home. As always, please feel free to reach out to Nurse Phillips if there are any questions about the parameters mentioned in the above form. We want to ensure wellness and safety of all students and staff. Please help us to make health and wellness our number one goal to allow all of our students to thrive in this wonderful educational environment here at CECDCN.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the CEC DC North school nurse, Sarah Phillips, BSN, RN, via email at sarah.phillips@coloradoearlycolleges.org or by phone at 720-505-4010 ext. 22133.
