Student of the Year

Colorado Early Colleges Parker would like to recognize Ethan Wolfe as CECP’s 2023 Student of the Year. Ethan has spent countless hours working hard for CECP’s community as well as the community outside of our school. Ethan has been recognized by The Colorado League of Charter Schools as a Charter Champion. Locally, he has leadership roles in National Honor Society, Student Council, Interact, our play productions, the Restorative Justice team, his church and countless others. Ethan’s personality makes everyone feel welcome and valued. He strives to have a positive impact on his community. Thank you, Ethan, for all of your hard work and dedication in making CECP a better place!

Grade Replacement Form

Students who are repeating a course this semester and wish to replace their current grade for a previous failing grade are required to submit the GRADE REPLACEMENT FORM. The form must be completed and submitted by the end of the semester, Tuesday, May 16. Please reach out to your advisor if you need any assistance.

Summer Fun Activities


King Soopers Reward Program

Thank you to the families that are enrolled in our King Sooper’s Community Rewards Program! This year you were able to passively raise over $650 for our school community! This money gets deposited directly into the Student Activities Budget, which we use to support different school community events like Camp CEC, the end of year send off, the beginning of year food trucks, and different treats through the year.

If you’d like to add Colorado Early Colleges Parker to your King Soopers Shoppers Account, follow these steps:

  1. A digital account is needed to participate in King Soopers Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose. If you do not have a digital account, click here to set one up.
  2. Sign in to your digital account.
  3. Search for your organization here.
  4. Enter "Colorado Early Colleges Parker.”
  5. Select the organization from the list and click “Save”.


What is King Soopers Community Rewards?

This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at King Soopers and swipe your Shopper’s Card.


Bus Training Opportunity

WE ARE TRAINING A BUS DRIVER FOR OUR CAMPUS.

  • 3-4 week CDL training in June, dates TBD
  • Training will be in-person and virtual
  • $14 an hour during training, 25-30 hours per week
  • $20 an hour to start upon successful completion of training program
  • Start date of August 1st
  • Require a 6 month commitment to drive for CEC or will have to pay $1000 for CDL training
  • Must be at least 21 years old with clean driving record

VENTURE VALIDATOR SUMMER CAMP


The Venture Validator Summer Camp is a week-long program hosted by the CSU College of Business Institute for Entrepreneurship designed for incoming 7th-12th grade students to explore what it takes to become an entrepreneur in a safe, engaging, and fun space. Program at a Glance

Location: Online via Zoom OR in-person at the Fort Collins CSU Campus, or CSU-SPUR campus in Denver

Length: One week of half-day sessions

Schedule: June 5-9, 2023

Global Teen Police Academy

Are you interested in law enforcement? Are you between the ages of 14 – 17?

Check out the Global Teen Police Academy! It’s the perfect chance for teens who are interested in law enforcement to learn from Aurora PD officers on what it’s all about. Applicants do not have to be from Aurora. Students will learn about 911 communications, criminal law, investigations and more. Applications are accepted up until the last Monday before the class starts.


Sessions:

  • June 12-23 (graduation on June 24)
  • July 10 – 21 (graduation on July 22)

Horatio Alger CTE Scholarships


Up to $2,500 for Students headed into a Certification or Technical Program

The Horatio Alger Association will award 500 students up to $2,500

to pursue a career certification or technical education

at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States. Deadline: June 15.

Funds may be used for: tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation and other personal expenses.

All scholarship funds are paid directly to the school for the student.



FOR FORMER OR CURRENT FOSTER YOUTH, THE FORWARD STEPS SCHOLARSHIP IS FOR YOU


The Forward Steps Guardian Scholars program supports Colorado current and former foster youth as they pursue a postsecondary education. Our program provides financial, social and life-skills support to foster youth who are currently enrolled, or will be enrolled, in an associate, bachelor, trade or certificate program. Guardian Scholars will receive financial support each semester tailored to their particular circumstances including: (1) a $500 baseline stipend split between the beginning and end of each semester and (2) up to $2,500 in additional support to cover emergency/urgent needs, housing, and childcare expenses as needed on a case-by-case basis, dependent on available funding. All financial support goes directly to the scholar.
