Medical Career Collaborative (MC2) Program
For those new to our program, MC2 is an industry based model that propels high school students toward careers in healthcare through hands-on experiences and professional development opportunities. In order to apply to the program students must: currently be a sophomore in high school, and attend high school in the Denver metro area. The program model remains the same with students participating in a two year commitment that includes: medical field trips/workshops/trainings, an internship at either Children’s Hospital Colorado or Denver Health, participation in weekly seminar sessions, mentoring, volunteer opportunities, and college and career coaching.

The application is long as it requires a school transcript, essays, a recommendation and general information so we advise that students start working on their application several weeks before the March 12 deadline. To access the link to the application please visit: www.childrenscolorado.org/mc2.

CLUB MEETINGS
Interact/Young Rotary
Interact/Young Rotary is a service organization sponsored by the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club here in Parker. We organize fundraisers and other service events that benefit the school, the community, and the world. To learn more join us at our weekly meetings on Friday afternoons!

Meeting Times: Fridays at 1pm

Club Sponsor: Tara Hedberg

Ethics Bowl Club
Ethic Bowls are competitive yet collaborative events in which students discuss real-life ethical issues. In each round of competition, teams take turns analyzing cases about complex ethical dilemmas and responding to questions and comments from the other team and from a panel of judges. An ethics bowl differs from a debate competition in that students are not assigned opposing views; rather, they defend whichever position they think is correct, provide each other with constructive criticism, and win by demonstrating that they have thought rigorously and systematically about the cases and engaged respectfully and supportively with all participants. If you would like to join the team, please e-mail Dr. Rhodes at ruth.rhodes@coloradoearlycolleges.org.

Meeting Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8am
Meeting Style: Virtual (email Dr. Rhodes for link)
Club Sponsor: Ruth Rhodes
Medical Club
This club is a great opportunity for anyone interested in healthcare and learning more about the medical field, as well as being involved in the school!

Previously, we’ve planned events such as breast cancer awareness month, blood drives, and a winter formal/informal dance. We plan to continue staying an active part of the schools community even through COVID-19.
