Free/Reduced Lunch Enrollment

At the end of the last school year, it was announced by the USDA that the special funding to support free school meals for all students was not renewed, and that school meal payments will resume this fall.

We encourage you to apply now for free or reduced-priced meals. Paper applications are available at all schools and online at this link:  https://family.titank12.com/application/new?identifier=86R28B.

Your children may qualify to receive free or reduced-price school meals if they:

  • Receive SNAP, FDPIR, or TANF.
  • Are a foster child under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or the court.
  • Attend a Head Start program.
  • Meet the definition of homeless, runaway, or migrant.
  • Have a qualifying income, for example, for the 2022-2023 school year, a family of four that earns less than $51,338 per year.

You only need to fill out  one application per household. Even if you filled out the application in previous years, you will need to complete the application every school year.

Lunch Cost Update

Why are meals no longer free?

Over the past two years, the federal government allowed all students to eat free regardless of the learning environment or family financial situations. However, beginning on the first day of school for the 22-23 school year, students will be charged for both breakfast and lunch unless they qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

How much will meals cost?

If you are not eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch (see section above), your meals will cost:

  • Breakfast will be $2.75.
  • Lunch will be $4.25.
  • Second entree price will be $2.50.
  • Second meal price will be $4.25.

How do I pay for my meals?

If you are not eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch (see section above), you will need to pay for your lunch in one of the following ways:

How can I view what is for lunch?

Food Services posts recipes, menus, meal prices, and other information on our website at  www.coloradoearlycolleges.org/food.

Thank you to all of the families that attended information meetings for our Europe’s Mediterranean Coast trip! Please remember, the deadline to register for this trip is September 5, 2022. Please register with this link: www.eftours.com/2565192fn

If you would like to refer back to any information stated in the meeting, the recorded meeting is linked here: Europe Meeting on Teams-20220822_183207-Meeting Recording.mp4

Please also note, there has been a change within EF Tour’s vaccination policy, which now allows all students to travel despite vaccination status. If your student is interested in travel, please read through EF Tour’s safety procedures regarding COVID-19, linked here: https://www.eftours.com/health-and-safety

All of these countries allow travelers to enter without a vaccination but may require a negative COVID-19 test. This can change at any time, so it is recommended to purchase global travel protection plus to best protect your investment.
