What do you love about CECCS?
I love the mission of CEC. It’s simple, inclusive yet not easily accomplished. Serving ALL students regardless… That piece really resonates with me. Over the years I have had the privilege of working with some of the best people I’ve ever met. All in pursuit of making a positive impact on the youth. This place builds bridges and helps knock down barriers to help young people pursue their educational goals. I’ve not seen its equal.
Who did you look up to when you were in school and why?
My 5th grade teacher Mr. Subramanian. He was such a fantastic teacher and really saw and connected with people in way that I always find inspiring. Plus, he taught me and a few other students the basics of Tai Chi.
What advice would you give students that you wish you had when you were in school?
You are fearless in so many areas of your life right now. Use that energy and be fearless in pursuing your curiosity about your future. It is not the end of the world when you don’t get what you are after. Take everything as a learning experience and make better decisions from there.

What does a member of the U.S. Congress, an NFL coach, and the director of a crime lab have in common?
They are all alumni of the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s (JRF) Scholarship Program, and now is the chance to apply to be a part of this incredible network of future global leaders. JRF’s Scholarship Program provides college scholarships and a host of resources to help talented young leaders self-actualize professionally and personally and encourage them to make a difference in their communities. Interested applicants must apply using JRF’s online application and will need to submit:
- High school transcripts
- One letter of recommendation
- A completed CSS Profile
The application and its required components are due by January 9, 2025. JRF Scholarship recipients will be announced by June 1, 2025.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de CECCS?
Me encanta la misión de la CEC. Es sencilla e integradora, pero no es fácil de cumplir. Servir a TODOS los estudiantes, independientemente de su edad... Esa parte realmente resuena en mí. A lo largo de los años he tenido el privilegio de trabajar con algunas de las mejores personas que he conocido. Todos en la búsqueda de hacer un impacto positivo en la juventud. Este lugar tiende puentes y ayuda a derribar barreras para que los jóvenes puedan alcanzar sus objetivos educativos. No he visto nada igual.
¿A quién admirabas cuando estabas en la escuela y por qué?
Mi profesor de 5º curso, el Sr. Subramanian. Era un profesor fantástico y realmente veía y conectaba con la gente de una forma que siempre me resulta inspiradora. Además, nos enseñó a mí y a otros estudiantes los fundamentos del Tai Chi.
¿Qué consejo les daría a los estudiantes que desearía haber recibido cuando estaba en la escuela?
Ahora mismo no tienes miedo en muchos aspectos de tu vida. Utiliza esa energía y no tengas miedo de perseguir tu curiosidad sobre el futuro. No es el fin del mundo cuando no consigues lo que quieres. Tómatelo todo como una experiencia de aprendizaje y toma mejores decisiones a partir de ahí.

La campaña Días de Solicitud Gratuita de Colorado es una iniciativa diseñada para inspirar a más habitantes de Colorado a continuar su educación. Los 32 colegios y universidades públicas en Colorado y varias instituciones privadas renunciarán a sus tasas de solicitud, por lo que es libre para cualquier persona a presentar una solicitud.

Ya se aceptan solicitudes
¿Qué tienen en común un miembro del Congreso de los EE.UU., un entrenador de la NFL y el director de un laboratorio criminalístico?
Todos ellos son antiguos alumnos del Programa de Becas de la Fundación Jackie Robinson (JRF), y ahora tienes la oportunidad de solicitar formar parte de esta increíble red de futuros líderes mundiales. El Programa de Becas de la JRF ofrece becas universitarias y una serie de recursos para ayudar a jóvenes líderes con talento a autorrealizarse profesional y personalmente y animarles a marcar la diferencia en sus comunidades. Los solicitantes interesados deben presentar su solicitud a través de la aplicación en línea del JRF y tendrán que enviar

4 Consejos para Mejorar su Perfil
1. Utiliza una gramática y una ortografía correctas: los representantes de carrera pueden ver tu perfil y tu currículum. Asegúrate de utilizar una buena gramática y ortografía.
2. Añade cursos relevantes: la sección de cursos es un buen lugar para destacar tus puntos fuertes y tus áreas de interés.
3. Incluye tus experiencias: desde un voluntariado hasta un trabajo remunerado pueden ser útiles en la sección de experiencias.
