NACAC College Fairs
NACAC is back with another collection of college information fairs for all students! At each virtual fair, students attend college presentations, learn about their options, ask questions, and demonstrate interest. NACAC is offering 8 fairs this semester: Apr. 10, Apr. 20, and May 2. Four of these events are smaller Focus Fairs and are especially for students with special interests or residing in specific regions: STEM (Mar. 7), Performing & Visual Arts (Mar. 16), Western US (Apr. 10), Southeastern US (Apr. 20). Students are invited to attend as many as they would like, and it is all provided at no cost!
ROAR Spring Junior Workshops
Students and Parents can sign up to attend any of the panels and the College Roundtable sessions. The panels will cover pertinent information Juniors and their families will need heading into their college search process such as visiting campuses (in-person or virtually), basics on college admissions and financing the investment, and the various testing options institutions offer. The College Roundtable will be short introductions to 5 Universities per session. Sessions run throughout April - click the button below to see what sessions are offered and when.
Boettcher Foundation Scholarship Webinars
Students, As you begin looking ahead to the process of applying to colleges and scholarships, we wanted to let you know that the Boettcher Foundation will be hosting some webinars on "Everything You Need to Know About Scholarships." During these webinars, we will go over how students can "ACE" their college and scholarship applications, including tips on how to make their applications stand out. You can register to attend one of the webinars by clicking on the Sign Up button below and selecting the date you wish to attend. Attendance numbers are limited, so please only register if you will be able to watch the webinar during the scheduled date and time. You only need to attend one:
Webinar Dates: April 13; April 21; May 1; May 5; May 11: May 20
If you cannot attend any of these webinars, you can still access an abbreviated version of the presentation via a video on the FAQs page of our website (located under the question asking if the Boettcher Foundation provides resources on how to be competitive in a scholarship application.) For more information, view the Boettcher Scholarship Flier.
Student Photos & Proofs - Last Call!

Youth Career Fair
This explorative & informative fair, April 19th - 22nd, for youth will feature career panels representing a wide variety of industries throughout the state. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for youth attendees, parents, educators, and potential career panelists via the website: www.youthcareerfair.org

The Colorado Virtual Career Fair is a collaboration between the Colorado State Youth Council, Colorado Workforce Development Council, Colorado Association of Career & Technical Education, other Colorado professional education agencies & organizations; and many Colorado school districts.

The design of this fair has an intention of facilitating access and awareness of career path opportunities to students who may or may not have been able to access the options before. Beyond the barriers of geographic location, beyond zip code, beyond regional location and beyond school district - students & families, youth & individuals of any age or grade level are welcome to attend.

Panelists will represent diversity of backgrounds, ethnicities and races and are intentionally recruited to help our students ‘see themselves’ in that future career.** If you are interested or know of others (think of your own friend, family and contacts) who would be a perfect fit, please see the attached Panelist Flier AND extend the ‘application’ here https://forms.gle/6Gf1mFtZ1N64jvfm8

Equity and Mental Health within our youth communities is an investment the design committee wanted to focus on and the Attendee Registration form reflects this.

Looking forward to ‘seeing’ you and your students & families there!
If any questions arise, please contact: admin@youthcareerfair.org
