Success! CEC's Latin Students Shine!

National Latin Exam results are in, with 100% of CECFC's students earning not just awards, but medals! CEC students earned 5 gold medals and 1 silver medal this year. The national award rate (for any award - gold, silver, bronze, or honorable mention) is 49%, and we now stand at a 92.4% program average.

Four students also earned recognition by being inducted into the National Latin Honor Society -- Deepesh K, Thatcher WB, Sam M, and Saturn W.

Congratulations to all our Latin students on their excellent work, and a huge "Thank You!" to Karen Karppinen, our fearless Latin instructor, for helping students achieve this overwhelming success!

Seeking host families for exchange students here at CEC Fort Collins for the 2023-2024 academic time frame.

Both year long and semester commitments are available.

Hosting is rewarding for both the student who gets to explore American culture and practice English, but also for families as they learn about the world around them and other languages. Hosting families are from all different backgrounds and just need to provide daily meals, a comfy bed, and transportation to and from school. Students have their own funds to spend on extra expenses, and love being a part of all types of families!

Contact Christina Galloway at [email protected] to open your home to an exchange student soon as placements are happening now.

PERFORMING & FINE ARTS

***TEXTILES CLASS***

A HUGE thank you to everyone who heard the call for denim! We will still accept denim at any time (any color, any condition) for the textiles class. You are amazing!

CEC PARENT RESOURCE GROUP & SAC

Everyone is welcome!

No volunteering, no commitment.

Our Parent Resource Group meetings are friendly and casual, a place for parents to meet other CEC families and share stories, ask questions, and find information. Any questions brought up are placed as an agenda item for our SAC (School Accountability Committee) meetings with CEC Leadership.

Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, they benefit emotionally, socially, and academically.

We all meet regularly to have fun and organize events. Be part of our team! Visit our website or email [email protected] if you're interested.

Thank you very much, CEC Parents!
