Character Trait:
Service to others means being unselfish.
It means doing something for someone else without expecting any reward or gain.
From Head of School, Lacey Scadden
I love the changing of the seasons. Living in Colorado we can experience all four seasons in one day....winter starts at 6 am, spring is around 10 am, summer 4pm, and fall at 6 pm, dress accordingly. We want to keep students outside as much as possible for breakfast, recess, and PE.  We plan on being outside unless it is below 20 Degrees with wind-chill and/or with heavy precipitation. Please make sure students have appropriate cold weather gear. We do have coat racks available for students so they don't need to carry coats around with them. We are currently collecting new or gently used warm coats to help those in need, or those who may forget a coat on a cold day. Please drop off any coats for donation at morning drop off or bring with you to conferences.
We will NOT be dressing up for Halloween. Please keep all costumes at home.

From the desk of Mrs. Wentink:

Students in Elevate Plus will be working on a “Be the Change” project for the next two weeks. We have brainstormed ideas in class, and they are ready to go out into the community (they also have the option of helping here at school) and Be the Change they want to see in the world! They are so excited to go out and help others! Students will perform an act of kindness to help someone, write paragraphs and journal entries about their experiences. They will then present their poster and write ups to the class at the end of this month. Thank you for supporting them while our children change the world around them!

School of Choice Enrollment:
School of Choice Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year opens November 1, 2021.  Siblings of current students and CEC staff with students will have one-week priority consideration before we process enrollments received from the general public. All current students will automatically be reenrolled for the 2022-23 school year. Students enrolled in 8th grade for the 2021-22 school year at CECFC West Middle School do not need to enroll in the CECFC HS. They will receive a separate email later in the year with additional instructions on what steps are needed to complete the transition into CECFC HS.
Please gather the following documents to have on hand when completing the enrollment process:
·    Birth Certificate, Passport, or State issued ID
·    Immunization records or exemption
·    Report Card (incoming 6-8th graders)
