A Letter From Principal Smith

CECW Families,

Happy Halloween!  The weather is getting colder as we start looking forward to the Holiday Season. I love this time of year when we get to spend time remembering all the things we are thankful for.

We only have a few short weeks until our Thanksgiving Break, then one and a half weeks until Exams, and then Winter Break. Please have conversations with your student(s) about their grades/speaking with their teachers about what needs to be done in each class so that the final grade at the end of the semester does not come as a surprise.

Thank you all, again, for your patience as we work through changes in our operations as the county implemented their Public Health Order regarding indoor masks last week. CEC Windsor cannot risk being fined or shut down by the health department, so we appreciate all who are encouraging their students to wear masks indoors and complying with the exemption process. This has been a difficult time and we hope to keep educating our students in-person, with the exceptional standards of CEC.

We continue to see outstanding behavior as our students work on the SOAR expectations here at CECW. The students recognized in October were:
Jazelle K. and Maximillian D. for Service
Kalilah F., Dontae B., and Lyla G. for Ownership
Claire S. and Lexi H. for Attitude

CECW students continue to show their dedication in their academics, their character, and in their school spirit.  Way to go, CECW Golden Eagles!

Ms. Smith

Traffic Guidelines:
At CECW, it is our number one priority to keep our staff and students safe. Our entire student body is picked up by 3:06pm each day. Please stay in the car line until you get to the front of the building, where your student(s) should wait for you to pull up. Students should NOT cross the parking lot while there is a drive line. Thanks for helping to protect students and staff in our parking lot.

Book Fair:
Don't forget you can still donate to our Book Fair online! This will go towards supporting our teachers, classrooms, and our library! Click HERE to go donate now!

Lost and Found:
Please remind your students to check the Lost and Found! All items left here by Friday, November 6th will be donated.
