State Testing: SAVE THE DATES!

State testing is just around the corner! This year, we are trying something different for CMAS to lessen the impact it has on both students and staff. We know state testing is stressful, so please read the following carefully and mark your calendars! Attendance on these days is incredibly important.

Instead of one full week of CMAS testing, we are opting to complete one day of testing each week (on Mondays) for four weeks in a row. Please note that much more information will be forthcoming; in the meantime, please just ensure you’ve marked these dates as important for student attendance:

6th-8th Graders:

Monday, March 27th

  • ELA Unit 1
  • Math Unit 1

Monday, April 3rd

  • ELA Unit 2
  • Math Unit 2

Monday, April 10th

  • ELA Unit 3
  • Math Unit 3

8th and 11th Graders:

Monday, April 17th

  • Science Units 1-3

PSAT 9, PSAT 10, and SAT will take place during the normal “state testing week” at CEC Fort Collins. Again, much more information will be forthcoming. For now, please mark your calendars!

11th Graders:

Wednesday, April 12th

  • SAT

10th Graders:

Thursday, April 13th

  • PSAT 10

9th Graders:

Friday, April 14th

  • PSAT 9

If you have questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Best,

Rebecca Feilmann, Director of Instruction

Excused Absences

Just a reminder, if your student is absent, you are able to excuse their absence with a note from home or the doctor, but it must be within 2 business days, as per CECW Student & Family Handbook, which can be found on our website HERE. Please make sure to call the front office or the attendance line at 970-657-2830 to let the school know your student will be absent, but a note is still required to have the absence excused. If your student has an appointment, you can ask for a note from the doctor's office and then turn it in to the front office here at the school. If your student stays home sick, a note from home will work just fine. You can also email a note to Amanda Atkins at [email protected].
