Washington DC Trip!
CECW Community,
We had so much fun on our trip to Washington DC with some of our 7th, 8th, and 9th graders! We were able to see so many amazing historical monuments and make memories we will carry with us for years to come. We saw the White House, The Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, Washington Monument to which the kids referred to as "pencil thingy."
We walked around the town of Alexandria, saw the US Capitol, went to an art museum and National History museum. We had a tour of the National Cathedral, drove to Charlottesville to see how Thomas Jefferson lived at Monticello. We had a blast at the Air and Space museum, went to Arlington National Cemetery where we got to see the Change of the Guards, and went to Mount Vernon, home of George Washington.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time together and are looking forward to more experiential learning opportunities in the future.
Until Next Time,
Stephanie Krafft and Patrick Molinari
