Staff Spotlight!

CECW Families,

This week's spotlight is on our high school English teacher, Mr. Nelson! This year, Mr. Nelson will be team teaching all high school English courses with Mrs. Feilmann.

Mr. Nelson is huge fan of anime and manga (Japanese style of comic books). He's an avid powerlifter, loves writing poetry, and going to the bookstore. He's a huge metalhead but loves all music. Mr. Nelson is excited to collaborate with Mrs. Feilmann to support student growth in English Language Arts, and CECW is excited to have Mr. Nelson as a part of our Golden Eagle family!

Hello CECW Families,

Welcome to the 22-23 school year! Please join us at our SAC (School Accountability Committee) meeting next week on Wednesday, August 17 at 6:00 PM. We’ll be discussing our school’s United Improvement Plan and Paige Goodskey will be there to answer questions about Infinite Campus.

Come see how you can support and enhance your child's experience and your school community at CECW! We meet just three times during the semester and would love to see new faces on the committee. PLUS...there will be cupcakes!

CEC Food Service Department is seeking volunteers during lunch service hours! We are looking for service-minded people who love interacting with kids and have a flexible day schedule. Part time paid positions available.

Lunches 

CECW Parents and Students,

We will be going back to National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 22-23 school year, which means meals will no longer be universally free. To sign up your students for lunches or apply for free or reduced lunches, go to family.titank12.com or please click HERE for the application. If you are unable to print, please come to the front office for a copy. For more information, see attached document HERE!

If your child brings a lunch bag from home, please make sure they have their name somewhere on their lunchbox.

Could your student be interested in visiting San Francisco for Spring Break next year? Perhaps they would like to see the majestic Half Dome of Yosemite? Could they be interested in wandering around the Google or Apple campuses? What about walking the Golden Gate Bridge?

If any of that seems interesting, you should most definitely attend one of our informational meetings, the first one being Wednesday, August 24, 2022. We will hold one session immediately after school at 3:15 pm in the school cafeteria. If you can’t make that meeting, we will also have one the same day at 5:30 pm in the same location.
