NEW Enrollment for the 2021/2022 school year is now open!
A Letter From Principal Smith

Dear CECW Golden Eagle Families,

Welcome back! We are in our last quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. As we look to the Spring, we have much to look forward to: State Testing, National Junior Honor Society Inductions, a Performing Arts Performance, a Field Day, and more. Be sure to read the newsletter each week to see all the important events coming in the next few short months.

We will be releasing our CMAS and PSAT testing schedule next week. We are incredibly grateful to have been in-person learning for most of this school year. These tests are an important data point for CECW to see not only where our students are performing individually, but also to see how they perform in comparison to students across the state. Your students’ participation in these tests are essential and parent/guardian support is a key component to helping our students be successful. Thank you for your continued support.

This year, CECW, is proud to announce our first ever Summer Math and ELA camps. We look forward to providing our students with extensions and enrichment opportunities throughout the summer. Please watch the newsletter for more information as the details are finalized.

Remember that it is now enrollment time for the 21-22 school year. Soon you will receive enrollment information sent through IC from our registrar, Lorraine Snow. If you have any questions regarding next year’s enrollment, please contact her at lorraine.snow@coloradoearlycolleges.org. Also, remember that you can earn a $100 e-gift card for each friend that you or your child refers to our school. Let your friends and neighbors know all the great things that are happening at CEC Windsor so they can join our Golden Eagle community, too!

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. I am excited for all the events yet to come this year.

Continue to stay healthy and safe.

Warmly,
Ms. Smith

CMAS and PSAT State Testing

State Testing will be the week of April 12th. 6-8th graders will take the CMAS test Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of that week, and 9th graders will take the PSAT on Wednesday. 9th graders have been given a PSAT guide book and should utilize this before their test. More information about the schedule for that week will be shared as we get closer. Please note testing is subject to change if new state requirements are released. Please contact Ms. Elliott with any questions.
In-Person Learning Reminders

Students need the following items daily:

  • Masks – It is a good idea to have more than one mask, just in case there is a sneeze inside it, it gets dropped at recess, etc.
  • Water Bottles – the drinking fountains are still not available, but the water bottle fillers will be accessible.
  • Their own technology devices – we are hopeful to have devices on campus for the students to use soon, but the delivery date of this technology is still not known.
  • All textbooks and supplies - For the majority of classes, books, notebooks, and supplies will now be kept in the classroom and students will use online resources for homework.

Each student must continue to be screened before entering the building. Please fill out the self-screening form found here or use the QR code to access this each morning by 7:15 am. This will give us time to print the list for the check-in process. If you cannot complete the self-screener electronically, please print this form, complete the survey, and send it to school each morning with your student.

Students that have any of the following symptoms need to stay home and join their classes remotely via Teams:
  • Fever or chills
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Please call or email Ms. Dee Baker, Attendance Clerk, to report all absences (including when a student will be remote learning, unless you have chosen the fully remote option for the remainder of the semester).
