NEW Enrollment for the 2021/2022 school year is now open!

A Letter From Principal Smith

Dear CECW Families,

Congratulations! We made it through the 2020-2021 School year with several wonderful celebrations this week.

Our bands and choir performed a magical concert on Tuesday night, where we were enchanted by both a musical number that the choir had written and a combined band performance that showcased the most instruments played at CECW at one time.

Wednesday, we finished the school year with an amazing Summer Kick-Off! Staff and students enjoyed all the fun activities planned by StuCo, including a DJ and a dance floor and many different field day games to help send us off to summer vacation.

Finally, last night, we hosted our first in-person 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony. It was a beautiful night to celebrate our 8th graders continuing on to high school. Good Luck to each and every one of them as they begin their path onto high school and beyond. A special celebration for the following students who were nominated by their teachers as outstanding students:

8th Grade Award Winners:
Grit: Brenden B.
Growth: Kaden D.
Service: Jonathan B.
Ownership: Nerissa O.
Attitude: Sashko C.
Respect: Kaden D.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, and safe summer! I cannot wait to see all of you next fall.

Warmly,

Ms. Smith

Ms. Kitty, CECW's Business Manager, will be sending home bills next week for all books not returned. If you have any questions on how to submit payment, please reach out Ms. Kitty at [email protected].
Act Now! Anti-Charter Bill Introduced

CECW Community,

A piece of legislation was introduced this week, and we wanted you to be aware of its impact on our school and other charter schools across Colorado.

In order to stop this proposal (HB21-1295 - www.leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb21-1295) from moving forward, it is important that State Representatives hear from you, our families, and our staff. We don’t ask you to do this often, so when we do, it’s because it’s important.

Reaching out will take less than two minutes, and our partner, the Colorado League of Charter Schools, has made it easy for you to speak up by putting together a sample letter and contact information that you can easily send from your phone or computer. Click HERE to join us in taking action now!
