As economic developers, we are able to assist veteran business owners and entrepreneurs. While veterans may take advantage of any of our services, there are a few programs for which only veterans are eligible.
The Central New York Regional Economic Development Council (CNYREDC) is seeking qualified projects to benefit from this year’s funding opportunity through the state’s Regional Council process. 
According to a PCMag study completed by the publication’s readers from June 1 to June 17, Auburn has internet download and upload speeds that are much higher than the nationwide broadband standard set by the Federal Communications Commission.

Startup Connect
September 10, 5-7 p.m.
Auburn SCORE and CEDA will co-sponsor another round of "Startup Connect," an entrepreneur networking event on Tuesday, September 10th, at Treleaven in King Ferry. This event will be a great opportunity to meet other small business owners, entrepreneurs and small business service providers. Free and open to the public. More details and registration coming soon!

Cayuga County's Young Professionals group got a tour of the family-owned and operated manufacturer last month. Auburn Leathercrafters manufactures dog collars, leashes, harnesses,and toys. IGNITE members got to learn about the business and make custom leather coasters with the IGNITE logo!
Congratulations to Volpi USA and the Auburn P-Tech Program on receiving the 2019 Partners for Education and Business (PEB) "P-Tech Business Partnership of the Year" award! Volpi specializes in medical and diagnostic support systems. P-Tech (Pathways to Technology Early College High School) is a partnership of the Auburn School District, Cayuga Community College, MACNY, and PEB. Volpi invited P-Tech students to shadow technicians, gave company-wide tours to classes, and Volpi's Senior Manufacturing Engineer James Casasanta volunteered at monthly events acting as a mentor to students.

What We Do
The Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA) provides businesses with easy access to all of the information, incentives and resources needed to start or grow in Cayuga County. For instance, CEDA can help businesses and entrepreneurs find a location or mentor, as well as assist in accessing tax incentives, low interest loan programs, technical assistance, or State grant funding. CEDA does this by working collaboratively with partners and experts throughout the region.
