The IHQ family has been dealing with many recent deaths of close family and friends. Then there is the war in Ukraine and the separation of fathers and sons from families, including CEF families, with moment by moment uncertainties of their wellbeing. This has been a time for compassion; bearing one another’s burdens and weeping with those that weep. It has been a time to mourn, even as we continue to have many reasons to praise the Lord.
Walter Bortree served faithfully with CEF for many years as a member of the International Board of Trustees and specifically on the USA Committee. One day he was actively involved in this ministry and the next, his ministry with CEF was finished. The recent unexpected passing of Walter has caused me to consider once again how this earthly life is but a vapor and how important it is to be about our Father’s business, making the most of every opportunity including those with family and friends. I would encourage you to do the same.
I am so thankful for the body of Christ and the CEF family! Thank you for caring for one another. Thank you for reaching out in the name of Christ to the oppressed and hurting. Thank you for your ministry to the saints. I am so glad to call you friends and family!
Please don’t become weary in well-doing for we will reap a wonderful harvest if we don’t give up.

Honoring Reese and Linda Kauffman
During this season, we pause to recount God’s praise through the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and honor Reese and Linda Kauffman. The Kauffmans consider their nearly 33 years in this role of serving the Lord through CEF and reaching children around the world with the Gospel as the highest privilege and joy of their lifetime. As Reese’s retirement as president approaches on June 30, we gather for a time of gratitude to God and to bid farewell.
In May we will hold an event at International Headquarters to honor Reese and Linda Kauffman. While we wish you all could join us, space is limited and available only to those who received a separate invitation. We look forward to sharing the recorded program with the CEF family after the event.

Reese plans to share with the worldwide CEF family his heart on lessons learned and God’s vision for children’s ministry, before he retires June 30th. The first of these live streams was Wednesday, March 23 and can be currently viewed at cefonline.com/live. Join Reese for the next two dates, Wednesday, May 11 and June 22 at 10:00 AM USA Central Time. Spread the word to staff and volunteers in the worldwide CEF family. |

Praise God for three candidates who are in the final step of the approval process to become state directors! God is hearing and answering our Luke 10:2 prayer! Please pray for these 16 additional states that are seeking state directors: Northern California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Greater Washington DC, Massachusetts, Upper Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Northern Nevada, Southern Nevada, Oklahoma, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Utah.

2022 North America/Caribbean Regional Virtual Mini-Conference

Together we are we are pressing on and reaching the children! Philippians 3:14 states: "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." 2020-2022 has had unbelievable challenges for CEF ministry in our region, and we want to come together to share what God has done in CEF ministry these past couple years.
There will be testimonies from USA, Canada, and from across the Caribbean. We will have prayer time for each part of our region, and breakout session times where you can meet and pray with fellow CEF workers from the other nations of this region. We will then conclude with CEF President Reese Kauffman sharing a brief message live, and there will even be a moderated Q & A time with Reese.
This regional virtual mini-conference is free! Invite CEF staff, volunteers, board members, and prayer partners.

Romans Road for Children: Register through May 6
Registration for the online Spring 2022 Romans Road for Children course is open NOW through May 6, 2022. This FREE three-week course addresses various philosophies of child evangelism and provides practical instruction on sharing the Gospel with children. Encouraging volunteers in your state or local chapter to take this course is a great way to expand your ministry outreach!

Jesus: God Who Cares for People
The printed products for Jesus: God Who Cares for People, Version 2.0 will be available May 8. (There is a slight delay due to the availability of paper.)
- The lesson text includes minor updates in accordance with curriculum standards, as well as teaching for the saved child added to the first Bible lesson.
- Preschool memory verse IPEAR teaching have also been added to the text sidebar.
- Lessons-at-a-Glance are no longer included at the end of the text but are still on the Resource and PowerPoint CD and download.
- The flashcard visuals have not changed since the last time this series was in cycle.
- The Resource Pack now includes the Gladys Aylward mission story.
