July - September 2023

Director Update

As the Lord continues to abundantly grow ministry to children of military families throughout the United States, He provided some excitingly different and new opportunities this past quarter.

In July, I was privileged to meet at New River Air Station, NC (Marines) with CEF of North Carolina, Sandhills Area Chapter Director Bill Jones, local ministry leader and volunteer, Anthony Jarrett, and Senior Chaplain Beasley (not pictured). As of this writing, they recently had a follow up planning meeting to begin ministry there as soon as possible!

Shortly thereafter, Director of Religious Education (DRE) Ramsey contacted Military Children's Ministry^SM leading to an exciting opportunity to meet with him and CEF of Southern New Mexico Local Director Demetria White at White Sands Missile Range (Army), NM. She and DRE Ramsey have been coordinating and are looking forward to serving children and their families by January!

In late August, MCM ^SMwas contacted again! This time the contact was by Navy Senior Chaplain Macrae who has oversight care and chaplain responsibility for the western region of US Marine bases. The Lord is now leading the coordination of ministry to children on FOUR Marine bases in San Diego, Miramar, and Barstow, California and Yuma, Arizona! Let’s pray God’s word and the opportunity to serve children on military bases continues to get out such that MCM is contacted daily!

The quarter culminated in an opportunity for me to be a part of the Red River, TX chapter’s training conference in Wichita Falls, Texas, home of Sheppard AFB. It was invigorating and encouraging for both my wife, Holly, and me to experience God’s work through CEF of West Texas, Red River Chapter Director Jennifer Dunn and her team. As we approach the end of the year, let’s pray together that the Lord will continue to provide abundant new beginnings for reaching children on military bases.

Pray for CEF leaders and volunteers as they serve the Lord and the military.
Pray that barriers to serving on several bases will be lifted soon and chaplains’ hearts and minds opened.
Pray for the children of military personnel who are deployed throughout the world.
