There’s a lot to celebrate today!

We’re still celebrating Janet Protasiewicz’ blistering win in the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and Brandon Johnson’s upset win as Mayor of Chicago. We’re celebrating the reinstatement of Justins Pearson and Jones to the Tennessee House – further proof that GenZ is changing the game – as activists, voters, and elected representatives.

We’re planning to reveal and celebrate all that we did in the 2022 cycle at our Wait, Wait, DO Tell Me strategy briefing on April 25 (see below).

Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers, and the primary author of the Declaration of Independence, has a birthday today.

And Jason Berlin, the founding father of Field Team 6, also has a birthday to celebrate today. Chip in on his big and fun gift HERE.

So we’re celebrating Janet, who can protect abortion rights, voting rights, union rights, and undo the gerrymandering nonsense in Wisconsin. We’re celebrating a progressive Mayor’s win in the 3rd largest city in the US. We’re celebrating our fearless leader, who tirelessly fires us all up to use our passions and creativity to register ever more Democrats in the places we need them most.

And despite the hypocrisy of slave owner Thomas Jefferson writing that “all men are created equal,” we celebrate that ideal, and our nation's efforts to move ever-closer to a “more perfect union.” And we especially celebrate every volunteer and donor who helps register more Democrats to that end.

Did you know it's National Volunteer Appreciation Month?

All that means is that the rest of the nation is catching up to our continuous and ongoing appreciation for the thousands of volunteers who make FT6 the Democrat-minting machine that it is.

In fact, the only thing we do every day – besides register new Democrats in swing states – is... you got it... love the heck out of our volunteers. It is that Democratic majority in the PA State House that ensured Republicans could not pass an abortion ban. Let's hold the line!

Look, see... We didn't have Tennessee on our already large list of target states for the 2024 cycle, but we also didn't have fascist expulsion of duly elected Tennessee House Reps for the indecorous audacity to represent their constituents on our bingo card either.

The Tennessee Three inspired a nation, and us... so we've done a deep research dive and identified four swing state house districts in Tennessee. 2 are repped by Democrats: we can keep them there. The other 2 are repped by Republicans: we can flip them. We'll also be registering new Democrats in the districts of The Tennessee Three, to lean into the movement those House Reps are leading so passionately.

OHIO... COME ON DOWN!

Now that we’ve secured big wins in Wisconsin & Chicago, we turn our attention immediately to Ohio—which is critical this year AND next! By November 2023, we need to register enough Democrats to pass an amendment cementing abortion rights in the state constitution. And in 2024, in order to keep our Senate majority, we need to re-elect Sherrod Brown, one of our most vulnerable (and best) senators!
