FAS® 093X™ – Time Saving, Easy Single Step Application

CEMCO’s FAS 093X Fire-Rated Control Joint is a composite control joint with intumescent tape factory applied to the backside of the control joint. The FAS- 093X has been tested according to UL-2079 “Test for Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems” and is used to relieve stresses of expansion and contraction of drywall interior partitions or ceilings running in a horizontal or vertical direction.

The opening is protected by orange plastic tape to indicate the fire rating. This tape is removed after the joint compound has been applied and the finish is completed. The 093X can be used on metal or wood framing on one or both sides of the wall. Continuous framing or backing is required behind both flanges. AISI Recorded Modest Rise in U.S. Raw Steel Output

The US weekly raw steel output recorded modest increase by 2.6% during the week ending February 5, 2022, when matched with the comparable week in 2021. This is in accordance with the latest weekly domestic production statistics released by the American Iron and Steel Institute.

The American Iron and Steel Institute applauded passage by the U.S. House of Representatives of the Leveling the Playing Field Act 2.0 as part of the America COMPETES Act. The provisions in this trade bill will strengthen the U.S. trade laws by enhancing the tools available to obtain more expeditious relief against repeat offenders, addressing the growing problem of cross-border subsidization and ensuring timely completion of anti-circumvention inquiries.
