Dear Members,
Our partners at the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation (SAEDF), shared the information below regarding Tesla's relocation to Central Texas. Please register your businesses and share this information with your vendors, clients and customers in the food service industry. This is a great opportunity to showcase our San Antonio businesses for Tesla suppliers and others moving to the region.
"The regional benefits of Tesla locating in Texas are now coming to fruition. Tesla has shared with us directly their immediate needs as it relates to the construction and site work for their new plant. The first step in this process is identifying and pre-qualifying companies in the region.
If you can provide any of the services below, register today! Attached is a checklist of what you will need to register. Any questions can be directed to ecomply@tesla.com which is located on the flyer.
- Construction contractors
- Electrical
- Site work
- Construction equipment & supplies
- Catering
- Food trucks
- Several will be needed on-site daily to feed up to 4,000 construction workers.
As additional opportunities are identified we will provide updates on products and services needed by Tesla."
Sincerely,
|

City Council voted to place the workforce development initiative 1/8th of a cent sales tax to the November ballot. The statement below is from District 2 Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan:
“When we invest in our community, we elevate each family that lives within San Antonio. Today we are asking our voters to speak to changing generational poverty and closing the gap within economic segregation. San Antonio has always been known to be a compassionate city and we are working to elevate systemic poverty and raise the stigma that we are the poorest, largest little city in the nation. We are working on being the change we want to see.”
