Construction manager for new JLR Ottawa building announced
Shortly following the firm’s February announcement that it would be designing and constructing a new building to house its Ottawa operations, J.L. Richards & Associates Limited (JLR) released an official Request for Proposals (RFP) in order to secure quality Construction Management services for the project.
Transit grade upgrade means $1.6 million for Chatham-Kent
Chatham-Kent is sharing in the more than $100 million the Ontario government is committing for transit and infrastructure projects through a cost-sharing program with the federal government and municipalities.
Connecting people and places in northern Ontario with road and bridge improvements
Today, the Honourable Bernadette Jordan, Minister of Rural Economic Development, announced funding for three infrastructure projects in northeastern Ontario.
In the Township of Casey, the project will see the reconstruction of Development Road, including the replacement of culverts along the roadway. These upgrades will provide more reliable access to the road for commuters and emergency response teams, while providing a safer route for children to ride the bus to school.
Residents across Ontario to benefit from road improvements and bridge replacements
Today, the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Member of Parliament for Waterloo, on behalf of the Honourable Bernadette Jordan, Minister of rural Economic Development and Murray Martin, Councillor for Ward 3, on behalf of Sandy Shantz, Mayor of Woolwich Township, announced funding to improve local roads and replace bridges across Ontario.
Five communities will see the rehabilitation or replacement of important local bridges to improve safety and efficiency for local travellers. For example, Conestogo will see the rehabilitation of the Glasgow Street Bridge, which will increase its load limit and extend its useful life. In addition, the communities of Aramanth, West Perth, Tillsonburg and Georgian Bluff will also see important road improvement work.
